What’s the Story?

Founded in 1990, we’ve continued to grow and evolve over the last 3 decades.

The Beginning

In 1990, on the most Irish of days—St. Patrick’s Day— The Lenihan’s father and son George Lenihan Sr. and Jr. opened the doors to something special in Narragansett. Pancho O’Malley’s was born from a simple yet bold idea: create a place where Irish hospitality meets Mexican flavor, where neighbors become friends, and where everyone feels at home.

Over three decades later, that vision remains stronger than ever. As one of South County’s longest-standing family-run businesses, we’re proud to serve the Narragansett community and visitors with the same warmth, quality, and character that George brought to these walls back in 1990.

Part Owner Part Entertainer

George doesn’t just run the place—he is part of the experience. From quick-witted one-liners to stories that somehow get better every time, he turns a simple night out into something you’ll talk about later.

That Electric Lenihan Fella

The Mayor of the Barstool – If you’ve spent more than five minutes at Pancho’s, chances are George knows your name, your drink, and at least one story he’ll swear is 100% true (it’s closer to 60%, but way better that way).

The crew behind Pancho’s are not just staff—they’re the heartbeat of the place. Cool, quick with a laugh, and genuinely welcoming, they make every night feel like you belong. They love Pancho’s, and it shows in every pour and every conversation.

Always Something Happening

Bar Walking

Monday Wing Nights, Fajita Wednesdays, Taco Tuesdays, live music, comedy shows, and our legendary St. Patrick’s Day bash—there’s always a reason to visit.

Proof Good Things Are Worth the Wait.

George and his wife Cheryl finally made it official three years ago… after more than umpteen.. years together. Around here, he’ll tell you he just wanted to be absolutely sure—Cheryl will tell you she was just being patient. Either way, their story is as genuine and enduring as the place they’ve built together.
